We learn about Iaret's tragic demise through flashbacks. Iaret is the mother of Sitamun, who in turn is the mother of Nefertiti. Iaret is the victim of the demagoguery of the nefarious cult that eventually the 18th dynasty to a tumultuous end. Album: King's Daughter Isis, Queen of Napata
The eldest child of Amenhotep and Tiye, Isis has always been fiercely competitive with her siblings, especially elder surrogate sister (aunt) Sitamun. The warrior/huntress of a superior pedigree should be heiress-apparent but since her first failed pregnancy at age 12, Sitamun is barren. Isis is very pleased to be heavy with child, Amenhotep's first grandchild and most likely heir-apparent. Before she can return to give birth in Karnak, Isis awakens to discover her island city fortress is under siege by the kingdoms of Kush. The Kushites have become heartily tired of their Egyptian masters.
