Khaem ehat Waset Son of Inyotef is a powerful mortuary priest called the
Lector Haruspex. He and his minions wear Anubuis masks as antiquated tradition mandates. While the Lector Haruspex priests are obliged to wear their masks during mummification rituals, it is unprecedented to observe jackal masked figures emerging into the streets and terrifying to see them practicing ethnic cleansing against the daughters of tribal heiress and chief queen Tiye.
